Fostering a Culture of Belonging: The National Higher Education Excellence Challenge Grant Submission
Fostering a Culture of Belonging, The National Higher Education Excellence Challenge, is an initiative funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York, ECMC Foundation, and other foundations, and operated by the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE).
Eligibility:
All schools participating in the Title IV federal student aid programs are eligible to apply.
Requirements:
This is a grant that requires a match from participating schools. Specifically:
Applying schools must enroll a minimum of 120 professors and staff (four cohorts of appx. 30 people each)
The number of cohorts (minimum of 2) of the Fostering a Culture of Belonging course are matched by grant funding
The institution must purchase a Level 1 subscription partnership (or higher). As an example, the Level 1 subscription purchase supports multiple rollout options, one of which includes two FCB cohorts plus the student survey center.
Timing:
Course-takers must be recruited and enrolled by the institution, and course cohorts must be completed in the 2023-2024 academic year
Grant Awards:
Cohorts will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis to institutions that submit complete applications and contract for their required match
Grant-supported cohorts may not supplant planned or existing related activities
Grant-supported cohorts will be awarded subsequent to an institution’s procurement of the required matching cohorts
